Venuti’s Banquet Hall Wedding
Welcome to Paulina and Ted’s Venuti’s Banquet Hall Wedding.
Paulina chose to get ready two blocks away from Venuti’s at Eaglewood Hotel & Spa. Eaglewood in Itasca is a great venue for capturing the whole process of both the girls and guys getting ready. The girls were in a public room off to the side of the main reception. The guys were on the other side of the building 9 stories up in a tower of rooms.
Paulina was glowing all day. We had ample time to capture the girls getting hair and makeup done.
One of the main reasons I no longer do set hourly packages is to allow time for all the getting ready and detail photos without couples worrying about watching the clock.
There was ample time to get awesome photos of Paulina’s shoes and rings and dress while the girls got ready.
Since we were at a golf course I had to put the rings o a golf ball. A glass table in the lobby was in lovely light and I could get a cool reflection.
Paulina did a reveal with her bridesmaids soon after her dress was on.
I was working with a great videographer and we both agreed a walk in with the girls covering their eyes was the best way to do the reveal in the space.
Once the bride and groom were both ready and I had dashed up to get a few shots of the guys, we set up outside for a first look with Paulina walking up to Ted.
It’s always a special moment when a couple does a first look with personal vows.
Most Catholic weddings have set vows in the ceremony, so a first look allows couples to read more personal vows.
Over the years I have heard some deeply personal and loving messages between couples.
I love these moments.
We had planned to take bridal party photos after the first look, but the schedule was a little behind, so we captured a few pics of just the couple before we raced off to the church.
Few weddings actually keep to the timeline all day. We did not stress about the last minute rush as we knew there was time at the church before and after the ceremony to get group photos done.

The ceremony was at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Algonquin.

Venuti’s Banquet Hall Wedding Reception
When we arrived at Venuti’s Banquet Hall cocktail hour had started.
We managed a quick set of group formals on the steps in the lobby.
The stair cases are so classic and I just had to grab a few photos before the reception.
Paulina and Ted had definitely prepared for their first dance. It was well choreographed.
The dancing the rest of the night was crazy fun and included a mix of popular pop and some cultural songs with fun group dances.
