Aberdeen Manor Wedding Venue
Aberdeen Manor is one of my favorite wedding venues.
There are so many reasons I love to photograph weddings here.
Every year I photograph a few weddings here and I am certain I have done more than 50 since 2010.
I photographed 8 weddings at Aberdeen Manor in 2023 alone.
There are several things I love about an Aberdeen Manor Wedding.
Great Photo Backgrounds – The area outside has space for bridal party and family portraits and the grass on the hill by the chapel has opened up a great space for last light photos in the evening.
Amazing Food – Aberdeen Manor has some of the best food you can get at a wedding venue in the region.
Awesome Staff – The staff are some of my favorite people in the local wedding industry and make everything run so smoothly on wedding day. Their attention to detail is second to none!
Ceremony Options – There is an option for the beautiful chapel if you want an indoor ceremony, or a lovely garden area for outdoor ceremonies. Having the chapel and reception hall all in one place saves so much time on wedding day. The garden offers a great outdoor venue for family and formal photos even if your ceremony is in the chapel. The sun is in exactly the right place for afternoon and evening photos in the garden.
I can say from experience this venue has the best rainy day backup. Last year we were mid ceremony and the skies opened up with a huge downpour. Within 15 minutes the ceremony carried on indoors in the chapel. The staff had the transition as smooth as possible with umbrellas on hand as guests and bride moved indoors.
The reception hall at Aberdeen Manor Wedding Venue has a great layout with one of the best dance areas of all the local wedding venues. There are various lighting options built into the ceiling above the dance floor. A fun snow machine, hanging cake table and the lobby is a great area for family photos on cold days too!

Aberdeen Manor, which was built in 1999 by Jim and Denna Fyock, was the result of their vision to establish a wedding-friendly venue in Valparaiso. Since its inception, Aberdeen Manor has successfully hosted numerous weddings, showers, corporate events, and parties. Megan Wiesjahn, Denna’s daughter, has intermittently worked at Aberdeen Manor since its opening in 1999. During her time there, she has gained experience in setting tables, serving weddings, and working in the bridal shop while completing her college education and teaching first grade. In 2009, Megan made the decision to join Aberdeen Manor on a full-time basis after her own wedding experience at the venue in October 2008. Shortly thereafter, her husband, Trey, also joined the team. As of 2021, Megan and Trey have taken over ownership of Aberdeen Manor. I have worked with so many people over the years in the wedding industry. Megan and Trey are some of the nicest folks I have ever worked with. It always feels like I’m coming home when I walk in and see them on wedding day.
