Valparaiso has some of the best wedding venues in the North West Indiana region.

There are few smaller urban areas with more great venues to choose from.

I have been photographing weddings in Valparaiso since 2006 when I moved to Munster Indiana.

Every year since then I have photographed several weddings in Valpo every year.

Some venues have come and gone, some have changed names and some like Journeyman are still brand new and welcome additions to the region.

Valpo is a great area for a wedding. Close enough to Chicago for folks flying in and far enough from Chicago to avoid big city traffic haha.

Here are three of my favorite venues I work at regularly in Valparaiso.

Aberdeen Manor – Aberdeen has the cutest wedding chapel and a great outdoor option for ceremonies. The outdoor space is always in soft shade in the afternoon and early evenings and hey if it rains you can run into the chapel. (Been there and done that) The indoor reception space rocks and the food and staff are amazing. They recently updated their bridal suite and groom area in the chapel basement. These updates have made it even better. I photographed six weddings here in 2024 and do several every year here. If you are looking at Aberdeen Manor for your wedding definitely reach out to me. Journeyman Distillery – Journeyman at American Factory is one of the newer venues in the area. I have always loved their Three Oaks Michigan venue. I was so excited when they announced this addition to their venues. I have done a few weddings there now and have one coming up again soon. I cannot wait. Few spaces have so many awesome backdrops for photos. The food is amazing and the reception spaces are both huge and maintain a cool rustic factory aesthetic.

Four Corners Winery – Four Corners is a delightful venue with an outdoor ceremony site right next to a vineyard and a rustic indoor reception site. I really love how all their chairs and tables are so eclectic and different. Pro tip……. you can bring your own catering I believe.
