Jessica and Tommy had a wonderful Journeyman American Factory Wedding!

We could not have had better weather for this wedding. Our day started early with me arriving at Journeyman in Valparaiso way before anyone from the bridal party to get a few detail photos outside and the main room in a partially set up state. I was an hour and a half early but I like to be early to get all the details.

I carry a dedicated macro lens for photos of rings and other small details.

I think this attention to the small details sets me apart from many other wedding photographers.

After meeting the girls at a local hair salon for a while, we came back to Journeyman and Jessica had a reveal with her bridesmaids and flower girl. There are so many cool spaces at Journeyman American factory for first looks and formals. WE did the reveal right outside their awesome bridal suite.

First Look with the groom!

I never tell a couple if they should do a first look or not. I feel it’s their day. I do however love first looks as it gives us time to get creative formals before the ceremony without the time crunch of the reception and guests milling around. We did a first look and then walked around the venue taking some stunning photos of the couple.

We had time to capture all the bridal party photos before the ceremony as well. Jessica had asked me to help build her day of timeline and we planned for enough time to get all these photos done before gusts arrived so we could hide her. I then had time to capture a few more details of the main room in a more set up state before the guests came as well.

A huge advantage of one venue weddings as a single photographer is the extra time at the venue without travel between events. I never waste time at a wedding and I got some extra room and detail photos for Jessica and Tommy.

The ceremony was outside on the roof.

Thanks to a gentle breeze and lots of fluffy clouds it was picture perfect outside.

There were so many special and emotional moments in their ceremony.

From the lovely flower girl to Tommy’s face as Jessica walked down the aisle, there were so many special photos. I think these few show a fair range of the moments.
