Frank and Cara had a lovely wedding reception at The Haley Mansion.

Welcome to Frank and Cara’s awesome wedding day.

Their day started in Naperville at a local hotel where I met the girls and photographed all the details.

Cara was glowing and so easy to photograph right from the get go. Her mom was on hand to help with her jewelry and veil. These are always great photos to capture in a totally candid style.

The wedding ceremony was in Lemont IL at SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish

There were three flower girls who did a great job down the aisle. It is always a gamble with kids haha.

Cara was so excited as she walked down the aisle. I typically use two cameras for wedding ceremonies. One with a wide lens and the second camera with a longer lens. Either a 70-200mm or an 85mm. This allows me to get the bride walking in, and turn around and get the grooms face as she comes in. Frank was as proud and happy as any groom should be. This moment is always one of my favorites to capture.

We arrived at the Haley Mansion about an hour and a half before the cocktail hour was due to start.

This was planned to allow time to get photos of Frank and Cara around the beautiful grounds as well as in the Haley Mansion.

 

Few venues have such beautiful backgrounds for photos both inside and outside.

We started outside and then ventured up to the second and third floors of the mansion for some photos.

 

 

The spaces inside the Haley Mansion are so much fun for creative photos.

The sky had some awesome clouds around sunset so we took a few minutes to create a dramatic photo with the Haley Mansion in the background with frank and Cara.

The wedding reception at The Haley Mansion carried on the theme of laughter and joy that had been so real all day already.

Dj Tim from Ready Set Dance kept the dance floor packed all night.
