Welcome to Anna and Jesse’s Meridian Banquets Wedding in Rolling Meadows Illinois.

Our day started at a local hotel with the girls getting ready in one room and the guys down the hallway in another room.

Anna and Jesse chose to do a first look at a local park before we went to the church for their ceremony. First looks are great for couples who want to maximize their photo opportunities. Doing a first look and some formals before the ceremony helps save time after the ceremony for family photos. I wrote a blog about first looks here.

After the park and some lovely formal photos we arrived at the church. I arrived before the wedding party and any guests, so I took some time to get a few shots of the sanctuary empty. This was such a beautiful church building and I love long aisles for entrance photos. I was simply spoilt here.

 

This photo of Anna entering the back of the church is one of my favorite photos I have taken in a long time. It is technically a tough photo to capture with hard backlight and deep shadows. Thankfully I had made sure I was set up in manual mode to control what the camera would do with the exposure and managed to capture a dramatic shot. There is a reason I spend far too much money on good lenses haha.

There was enough time to take some stunning formals in the church before we left for Meridian Banquets Wedding Rolling Meadows.

A quick stop back at a local park was awesome.

I raced ahead of the party bus to Meridian Banquets Wedding Rolling Meadows so I could get photos in the reception space.

There several reception spaces at Meridian Banquets. The space we were in was awesome. The desserts and food rocked too haha.

The dj was also a violinist and he was later joined by another musician. It was really cool when he played along to some techno dance on an electric violin.

The dance floor was packed all night. I have never been to a polish wedding where this was not the case.

I hope I get another Meridian Banquets Wedding Rolling Meadows wedding soon. It was a lovely venue to work at.
