Design Barn Hebron Wedding

Bry and Chuck had a wonderful Design Barn Hebron Wedding in early fall.
Design barn is a fairly new venue in North West Indiana. It is an incredibly fun space.
There are so many little spaces with character that make this venue unique. The huge sliding doors in the main room were a great place to hang Bry’s dress before she put it on.

So Many Little Details
Rather than a traditional seating chart, Bry and Chuck had book shelves with table assignments written on the spines of books. This was so unique and fitted so well on the wall as guests entered the main hall.
Bry had chosen very comfortable and practical converse shoes for her wedding. They were hot pink and photographed well with the rings and a cool Stanley cup.

There was an old type written on a table and a lovely old truck out back. All these elements helped make every detail special and tied them into the venue so well. I loved how the rings looked on the old type written and had to get a shot with the shoes in the back of the truck.

Design Barn Hebron Wedding Ceremony Site
The ceremony space outside at the Design Barn is lovely too. The rustic round barn with cut aways on one side is a great background. The winding step stones path under a huge tree to the ceremony site is a photographers dream. It allows ample time to get photos as the bride enters and some shade as they pass under it to remove any mid day raccoon eyes.

Design Barn Hebron Wedding Vows
Bry and Chuck chose not to see each other before the ceremony. But they did want to read vows to each other. WE found a lovely old door they could each stand next to for this. It hid them from each other, but gave me a great angle to capture the emotions from a comfortable distance in great light.
These candid moments are always special to capture!

Once we had the vows done and Bry had composed herself, we sent Chuck back to hide I the groom’s room and we took some lovely portraits of Bry and her bridesmaids. For this first photo we used the two big doors and I popped a small flash behind one door to light her beautiful smile.

Design Barn Hebron Wedding Formals
After the ceremony there was time to capture Bry and Chuck alone quickly and then some family and bridal party photos. Design Barn has so many spaces that offer cool backgrounds for photos.

The reception in the main hall rocked late into the night. Joshua Stowers was our awesome DJ.
I always enjoy working with him!

During the reception we snuck out for five minutes to take some creative night photos with some cool colors. I threw up a blue and a purple Gell in the shed for these.

Congratulations to Bry and Chuck. Their Design Barn Hebron Wedding was a joy to photograph.
