A Favorite Chicago engagement location!

 

If you are looking for an incredible city view a north avenue beach engagement photo session is hard to beat.

When couples want an engagement session here I often start at the Kinzie Street bridge which is close by then come to the beach at sunset.

A North Avenue Beach Chicago Engagement session at Sunset is always Stunning!

I like to start by walking out to the little structure on the concrete walkway.

This area allows for great views of the open water and some incredible walking photos and reflections on the shore side.

 

Walking back towards the Chess pavilion I normally like stop half way by the volleyball courts.

Stopping here gives us great  photos with the Hancock tower behind the couples.

 

I really love to end right by the Chess Pavilion and look for reflections from waves.

I freaking love reflections!

Engagement sessions at North Avenue beach require a permit from the Chicago parks District.

I have heard push back from some local photographers about this, but the park district makes it very easy, and personally I am happy to support the park district.

I do ask clients to pay the permit fee on top of any fees I charge for the session.
